There’s a reason that after Halloween everyone skips right to Christmas. It’s as if there’s no fun-filled day of food, family, and thanks in between. Why are there so few songs about Thanksgiving? Maybe if Thanksgiving had more songs, people would be more excited about it. Thanksgiving is a nationally celebrated holiday in the United States and Canada. Thanksgiving was traditionally celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November to give thanks for the crops harvested that year. The holiday is now celebrated in America as more of a time to visit family members and eat food before the shopping marathons that take place on Black Friday. This is a call to all those Christmas fanatics to remember that Thanksgiving is important too, so please hold your music until November 25.
