California Mudslides

Kyle Fisher, Staff

After the wildfires that ravaged the West Coast of California, a new disaster took its place and is devastating the land and the residents of Ventura County. The amount of downpour that accumulated after the wildfires in California resulted in a mudslide that is currently destroying people’s homes and taking lives in its path. Due to the mudslides, major highways have been forced to shut down, homes are left without power, and at least 13 people have been killed. Civilians have been warned about flash floods in Santa Barbara County and southern Ventura County, and have been told to evacuate homes if need be.
