The Olympics have always been a big deal to America. When you hear about an Olympic doctor molesting hundreds of female gymnasts, we wouldn’t normally believe it’s true. But in fact, it did happen. Larry Nassar was a Olympic doctor for over 20 years. Nassar was always known to be an amazing doctor, maybe even the best. But unfortunately, there was many things going on that nobody knew about for a long time. The first reported incident of Nassar happened as far back as 1994, going all the way to 2016, with nothing done about it. Recently, over 100 women have come forth and said that they were sexually assaulted by Nassar. This shows the U.S Gymnastics and The University of Michigan, and even the police and other organizations have failed these girls. Nassar would manipulate these girls into trusting him and making it seem like he wasn’t doing anything wrong when he was really taking these girls for granted. Judge Rosemarie Aquilina told Nassar “I just signed your death warrant,” when she sentenced him to up to 175 years in prison on Jan. 25.
