    Black Panther

    Black Panther

On Monday night, over 300 people attended the Penn Cinema Riverfront to see the new Marvel movie “Black Panther”. Wilmington native Briean Boddy-Calhoun, who is the cornerback for the Cleveland Browns, purchased the tickets so people apart from the black community could come together and view the movie. 27-year-old Donyea Mosley said they faced a lot of discrimination, “So playing these roles, these strong black people, means a lot to us because it’s not just drug dealers or being slaves – it’s more of having the power.” Many of the young kids and teenagers look at this movie and feel pride. For people who sometimes feel they don’t have a voice in society, this movie serves as just that, a voice. Another 120 people will be seeing the movie Tuesday.
