On Friday, February 23rd the winter dance was held to not only support the sophomore class, but more importantly the Live Like Lukas Foundation. For every ticket sold for $15, $5 was donated in memory of Lukas Kusters to support childhood cancer and families facing similar battles. We raised $600 through ticket sales and donations, and Jostens also donated an additional $200 on behalf of the Class of 2020. We at Conrad share a very deep connection with Lukas, also known as “The Dutch Destroyer”, whether through knowing his family members who are current and former Conrad students, knowing him directly, or hearing his story. Lukas had an incredibly courageous battle with cancer, a fight that he never gave up on. Sadly, Lukas lost his battle, but we will never forget the impact he’s made on all of our lives. We are grateful for all of the students who attended the dance and showed support for this incredible cause!
