A passenger ignited an emergency landing after causing a commotion. Justin Riley Brafford allegedly played an unwanted ‘footsie’ game with his seatmate. When she asked him to stop, he leaned in and said “Don’t **** with me.”
The woman had her seat moved by a flight attendant. Afterwards, Brafford approached her at her new seat. The flight attendant gave Brafford a warning, which sparked a series of expletives at her.
The flight attendant said he believed that “Brafford was on drugs” and that “it went from zero to 60 in nanoseconds.” Authorities reported that Brafford claimed he was receiving calls from God after saying he used meth amphetamines. Currently, Brafford is facing up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The maximum fine for a single assault is $100,000, but he is charged with interfering with the flight attendants while on an aircraft as well as simple assault.
