On January 4th, The Governor of New Jersey vetoed a bill that would have raised the Delaware Memorial Bridge toll from $4 to $5.

This, however, will create funding for future projects difficult, according to the Delaware River Bay Authority. The DRBA approved the proposed increase last month in order to help fund a $440 million Capital Improvement Project on the bridge. It is currently unknown what the DRBA will do as a result of this veto.
