A 15 year old Sussex Technical High School student was arrested and charged on Saturday due to making terroristic threats to bring a gun to the school, said Delaware Police. Troopers were contacted on Friday by Sussex Tech Administrators after the alleged student made the threatening remarks following the altercation at the school.

While the reason of the altercation is not entirely clear, it is said from police that the alleged student was “Very disorderly”, resulting in the school staff having to intervene. During the intervention, the student was accused of making threatening remarks that the police claim were “Implicit slang”, and resulted in the student threatening to return to the school with a gun.

The teen was arrested in his Millsboro home on Saturday. He was taken into the Justice of the Peace Court, then to a youth facility on a $5,000 bond. Following the altercation, the school stated that they take all potential threats very seriously, and the well being of their students is a top priority.
