New Castle Police, ATF, and the FBI unearthed nine explosives in Elsmere, a small town in New Castle County bordering on the Southwest limits of Wilmington. Five people were linked to an Elsmere man, charged with the possession of bombs. This is not the only case in which bomb possession is being investigated; there has been two other occurrences, but they have only resulted in three arrests. These explosions have not hurt people, but they have damaged property, such as an apartment complex, a home, and an unoccupied car.

The only person in custody was 48 year old Mark Consiglio, a mentally ill man who tried threatened to kill the wife of his neighbor, as the court documents reveal. Additionally, he was previously charged three times for the making, possession, and use of an explosive device. The Police have not issued further information about these events, even though the Police force and other agencies say safety is their first priority, they need to care for the arrest of people involved with all investigations.
