This Thursday, 1/23/20, it was reported that gunshots were fired in three different locations, all within 30 minutes of each other in Wilmington. The first shots were heard at about 2:50 pm by Woodlawn Park. Not much information has been released since the incident but allegedly a 17-year old boy was hurt. A witness reported that they heard ten gunshots, and the police later found 10 shell casings. Another witness claimed they heard the shots too, and that the incident was strange due to the time of day and the location of it. That same witness claimed to see a young boy limping a little bit later. The boy had been shot in the leg. Another shooting occurred at 2:53 pm by Great Oaks Charter School.  The incident occurred during the school’s dismissal, but it has been reported that no children or teachers were hurt. The third report of shots fired also happened around 2:53 pm in the 100 block of South Van Buren Street. It is not yet known if anyone was injured in this shooting.
