Automaker company Nissan has unveiled a new car subscription service. Dubbed ‘Nissan Switch”, the service allows users to pay a monthly fee and have cars delivered to them at any time. According to the official website, a user would download the application on their phone and place an order for a car that they want and the car would be delivered wherever they needed it. Every user has an accompanying concierge who will help users find the right car. They can even help move items from car to car. However, this service isn’t exactly readily accessible yet. Nissan Switch has what is called a “Service Area” which will most likely expand nationally in the coming years. As of now, though, it’s only available in select regions. Those being: Houston and Chicago.
In terms of pricing, Nissan Switch’s cheapest plan is $699 a month, with a $495 activation fee. There is also a premium subscription sitting at $899 a month, with the activation fee remaining the same. The premium subscription comes with a heftier choice of vehicles. It also comes with the Nissan GT-R, a new luxury vehicle which resembles more of a supercar than anything. Using the GT-R unfortunately adds another whopping $100 a day while it’s being used, so don’t expect to use this for more than a day or two, even if you have the deep pockets.
