Bigger and Better SPCA Location

January 19, 2021
Brandywine Valley SPCA will be moving and expanding to Churchmans Road, New Castle. They will be moving into the building previously owned by the Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware. The new facility is expected to open in the fall of 2021. This new location will be double the size of where they are at now, providing more room to spay/neuter family pets and advance the quality of life for animals waiting to be adopted. The ICU will now be available for all pets, including the ones that need critical care when families cannot afford private specialty hospital services. Every dog waiting to be adopted will have an indoor/outdoor kennel with an outdoor play yard and the cats will have double the housing plus an outdoor “catio”, which they are not capable of having at the current location. The new facility will also have a big community room and bigger outdoor area to expand the organization’s humane education, volunteering, and service groups.
