Moderna has been one of the many companies working day and night to create a vaccine to save people from the covid-19 virus, however, children have been overall unaffected by this, as the vaccines have been reserved for essential workers and the elderly. The good news is that Moderna has thought of that, and is ⅔ of the way through their clinical trials for a pediatric version of the covid vaccine. They have been shown to be useful thus far, the children take about 50’100 ml of the vaccine in two doses spaced 28 days apart. So far the vaccine has been made for infants to 11 year olds. But the future is still hopeful for those hoping to protect their entire family from the virus. This initiative makes sense, while children have stronger immune systems, they don’t understand the restrictions in place and often break them, not understanding the consequences of those actions. But nevertheless, with this newer vaccine on the horizon, the outlook for full-time in-person learning is brighter than ever.
