The CDC States Most Americans Dont Need Masks Indoors Anymore

Recent data from the CDC states that less than 1% of Americans live in a country with a high COVID-19 community level. Since 79% of the country lives in a county with little to no contagion, the CDC suggests only those at-risk for severe COVID-19 should keep using masks. Cases have been declining since the most recent peak during July, where 130,000 infections were reported each day on average. But while the amount of cases has been decreasing, we’re still seeing 2,200 deaths per week which experts agree is too high. Right now transmission levels are still high throughout most of the country, and a surge during fall and winter is expected in the U.S.
