    Ocean Breeze Meet/Season XC Recap

    Ocean+Breeze+Meet%2FSeason+XC+Recap

    MEET RECAP –

The RedWolves T&F team officially wrapped up the season last night at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational in Staten Island with some of the top runners in the northeast.
Kayla kicked off competition, throwing close to her all time best in the shot put and finishing 10th. The night wrapped up with the boys (Ulises, Tyler, Joey, and Jason) posting a school record time in the 4X400 relay and the girls (Jordan, Erin, Alyssa, and Mallory) bringing home silver in the distance medley relay. All 9 of these athletes will travel to Virginia Beach in a few weeks to compete in adidas Indoor Nationals. GOOD LUCK!

    SEASON RECAP –

The RedWolves were ALL IN this winter season – they set out to have their best season ever and it showed on the track and in the field.

The girls broke 9 individual school records, while the boys broke 10 – and EVERY relay school record was broken this season. That’s 29 SCHOOL RECORDS! We had a record 47 rostered athletes and competed in 10 meets from Delaware to Pennsylvania to Maryland to New York. The girls scored a program high 27 points at the DIAA state meet with a 6th place finish (improving on last year’s 24 pts for 7th place). We continued our Reindeer Relay winter tradition, continued to welcome and develop new athletes, and added some new meets so our athletes can compete on the same tracks as the pros and against some of the top talent in the northeast. The future is bright for this growing program – thanks to all the athletes and families for your hard work and support!
