Conrad School of Science homecoming is planned to take place on October 11, 2025 at six o’clock. Ideas put together by The Class of ’26 made the event possible. Students are excited about the theme being “A night out.” The dance will take place inside the school gymnasium. There will be music, festivities, and food. Students will also be able to attend a homecoming game. Before the event (homecoming) takes place, Conrad’s football team will play district opponent Christiana in the football game. The event will be packed with performances in a parade by the Conrad marching band. Also on the same day, Conrad’s Boys Soccer will face Archmere in a conference matchup.

Last week, we took time to interview some of the members of The Class of ‘26. We asked them several questions about the event to gather information about the dance. They discussed the hardships and adversities they would face while planning. Some examples are funding, as well as figuring out where and how to raise money for their cause. Another example was the amount of time they had to create such a big project with little to no experience or detail. They exceeded expectations and are expected to have an amazing event.

We talked to the President of the class of ‘26 student council (Zayan Powell), who stated that this year’s homecoming is different from the years prior because a special group of people is committed to the goal of making a memorable experience, through adversities and obstacles. It’s also different because of the help they are receiving from staff around the building, which has also been huge for their planning and execution process. 

This year, Homecoming is looking to be another successful event run by Conrad. With music, food, festivities, and other activities, a lot of people in attendance will be satisfied. If you are interested in buying your tickets, the class of 2026 will be selling during the second as well as third lunch. However, it is only for a limited time, so do not miss your chance.
