    Expect the Unexpected

    Expect the Unexpected

The Conrad Cross Country team ran this Friday, September 28th, on St. Andrews course in Middletown. As if the race wasn’t hard enough, while running,  the team was swarmed by wasps! Luckily only a few runners had to run the remaining 2 miles with stings. One of those runners, Lee Williamson, a junior here at conrad, dropped over 15 minutes from his  season time ! Another runner, Conor Miller, pushed hard to the finish, swollen ankles and all. Lastly, Justin Madden, ran hard and fast with stingers still in his legs. Over all, the girls team placed 5th and the boys placed 7th. Not too shabby for being attacked by mad little bees.
