Last week a New Jersey resident by the name of Kate McClure raised over $335,000 for a homeless man, Johnny Bobbitt Jr., after he gave her the entirety of money he had left, a 20 dollar bill to help her when she ran out of gas on a Philadelphia interstate. She originally started a GoFundMe campaign to raise 10,000 dollars to pay for housing and food for the man, but more than 12,000 people donated towards the cause. She received way more than expected, but still feels like she can do more for the man. She states that she wishes she “could do more for this selfless man”. This ordeal goes to show, that when you do something good for others, others will do good things for you.
