I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving break, sadly however due to addiction not everyone could. There were a total of eleven deaths due to overdose this Thanksgiving weekend. The culprit of these overdoses was heroin. The stress of the holidays likely helped the spike in the death toll. Rehab centers are currently packed sending away even a man from in-house treatment, who has already overdosed twice and needs to get help. These new deaths bring the toll for this year as a whole up to 215. If anyone you know might be struggling with an addiction the best thing to do is to give support and help them find a connection to a treatment plan.
