On Sunday April, 22, four people were shot to death during an attack on a Waffle House in Tennessee. A man by the name of James Shaw Jr. was able to disarm the gunman after he saw him lower his weapon to reload. Despite being able to get the weapon away, the suspect got away and fled the scene. Yesterday, after a 35 hour manhunt, the suspect , Travis Reinking, was found hiding in the woods and was arrested on murder charges. This was not his first run in with the law, though. In May of 2016 he told first responders that he believed the pop star, Taylor Swift, was stalking him, and according to his parents, he had made comments about killing himself several times. He was also taken into custody by secret service, after trespassing near the white house, but charges were dropped after he completed community service. Our thoughts and prayers go out the victims and their families.
