Students in Delaware are coming out of the closet and finding support in people who understand and accept them for who they are. A lot of them were bullied, but fortunately for some, it eventually stopped because they got the support they needed or moved away so they didn’t get bullied. Unfortunately, a lot of suicides are from the LGBTQ community because of all the name-calling, taunts, and threats, some of the threats being death threats. It is very unfortunate, but some schools in Delaware have started a GSA, which stands for Gay-Straight Alliance and multiple people have gone to attend them, Cab Calloway has a GSA and so does DMA. So remember, people do support you and you shouldn’t give up, even if it does seem hopeless. Stay strong!
