The RedWolves XC team continues to dominate the competition with strong performances by the boys and girls teams on Saturday, October 2, at the Sallies Invitational at Brandywine Creek State Park.
Girls JV kicked off the day with strong, gritty performances. Senior Rhiannon Mosier led the pack and earned a medal with a 15th place finish. Rana Jackson, Malina Winterringer, Robyn Bolen, Rory Gillin, and Chelsi Blevins all dug in and ran hard to help the girls finish in 9th place. Boys JV featured 2 of our up and coming runners – freshman Colin Cushing and 10th grader Joey Dello Buono – who both “conquered the Creek” for the first time and finished strong!
Boys Varsity competed in the Varsity B race and was led by Braeden Peterson, who finished strong to medal in 8th place, Ben Williamson (13th) and Ben Horgan (20th), who also claimed race medals. Nick Hockenbrock, Andrew Hockenbrock, Ryan Williamson, and Jason Webb rounded out the boys’ finishers to help the boys bring home a 2nd place finish in their race!
Girls Varsity competed in the Varsity A race and was led by Mallory Holloway, who was the top finisher in the race. Also claiming medals in Girls Varsity A were Alyssa Napier (3rd), Jordan Blanck(7th), and Isabell Anderson (20th). Penny Henderson, Addison Egan, and Keely Fitzgerald rounded out the girls’ finishers to help the girls finish in 1st place in their race!
