Cameras were placed along the northbound and southbound sides of I-95 as a part of Delaware’s pilot Electronic Speed Safety Program. Drivers going over 13 miles per hour over the speed limit in a construction zone will be ticketed at a minimum of $74.50. These cameras were recently damaged by vandals. As of now, there is a plan for the Delaware Department of Transportation to replace these cameras, while Delaware State Police and Wilmington Police search for the people who committed the vandalism.
