February 24th, 2022 was an exciting day because U.S. women’s national team players won a lawsuit, against U.S Soccer Federation. They previously tried to sue for gender discrimination, because of the pay gap. A $24 million settlement agreement was confirmed on February 22nd, 2022. Each female player who has played for the national team can declare for a 50,000 fund. Also, a promise from the U.S Soccer Federation is that there will no longer be an enormous pay gap between men’s and women’s international footballers. This is particularly wonderful given that the women bring in more money in revenue.
