Currently, the Justice Department is continuing its criminal investigation of Trump retaining classified government records. On September 20th, U.S judge Raymond Dearie called to review these documents and asked Trump’s lawyers if they plan to assert them as declassified. At the first hearing, they were also asked why the judge shouldn’t consider the classified records genuinely classified. The judge did not issue a ruling but found attorney James Trusty’s claim to be weak. So far, he’s stated that it’s too early to say if Trump declassified these documents during his presidency.
