In another exciting first for the Red Wolves runners, the Conrad XC team traveled to Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA for the Paul Short Run, which featured over 5,500 runners from more than 450 colleges and high schools.
The boys competed first in the HS Boys White race, with Braeden Peterson leading the charge, posting a season best time. Seb Bergstrasser, Ryan Williamson, Joey Dello Buono, and Jason Webb rounded out the top 5 with all posting times under 19 min to help the team to their fastest team average so far this year.
The girls showed their team strength with a 5th place finish (out of 43 teams) in the HS Girls White race. Alyssa Napier, who finished in 3rd and improved on her school record, led the pack, while Mallory Holloway and Jordan Blanck finished in the top 60 (out of 370 runners). Penny Henderson and Keely Fitzgerald rounded out the top 5, running personal best times, as our top 5 girls all posted times under 22 min.
The team looks ahead to a tri-meet with Archmere and Wilmington Christian on Tuesday at Bellevue.
