Monday, May 1, was the annual Met Gala. Typically the Met is on the first Monday of May (with the exception of the delayed 2020 event). This year, tickets sold for $50,000 each, and the event was funded by Chanel, Fendi, and the brand Karl Lagerfeld. The overarching theme for the A-List guests to follow was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. Many of the guests wore statements that would take inspiration from the renowned designer’s most famous designs. Guests such as Pedro Pascal, Rihanna, and Dua Lipa were some of the most highly anticipated to see.
