Idalia is the second major hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season. It strengthened to a category 3 before making landfall in Florida on Wednesday August 30th. The wind speed of 125 caused the storm to rip through the state fast, leaving several without power and lots of storm damage. The storm continues to move up the east coast into the Carolinas’ as of August 31st.
