The Phillies were able to pull a win from the game against the Cardinals on Friday September 15th. Within the first inning, the Phillies scored 4 runs and held the Cardinals until the 3rd inning where Alec Burleson and Nolan Arenaldo hit RBI singles bringing the score to 4-2. The Cardinals were able to get their other run in the 4th by Masyn Winn’s sac fly. With the score of 4-3, Phillies catcher, J.T Realmuto, hit an RBI single. To fight back, in the 9th inning, the Cardinals shortstop hit an RBI single to make the score 5-4. And with the final score of 5-4, Phillies pitcher José Alvarado was able to close out the game with a strikeout.
