The week, which provides events such as a college fair, brunches, and a comedy show, gives an experience to black youth & their families trying to apply & experience life at an HBCU. The week recognizes efforts that HBCUs have provided for education and opportunities for African Americans who have been disparaged from attending college. The week also recognizes the safe space that has provided African Americans an outlet to go to college, uplifting scholarship opportunities and acceptance. Additionally, students can choose from 25 participating HBCUs, such as Howard University and Delaware State University, directly chatting with recruiters to decide where they would want to pursue a higher education.
