On September 26th, 2023, Manchester United played Crystal Palace in their first game of the EFL Cup for a spot in the Round of 16 at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. In the first half United scored two goals, the first by Garnacho in the 21st minute and the second by Casemiro in the 27th minute. United’s last third goal came in the second half with a goal from Anthony Martial in the 55th, with the game ending 3-0 for a win to end Manchester United’s winless streak. In the next round of the EFL Cup Manchester will face New Castle at home for hopefully another win to send them to the Quarter final of the competition.
