October Has Crept in

October+Has+Crept+in

Sunday marked the first full day of the new month, October. It is also the month of Halloween, and also a month to do lots of spooky activities across the world.

Maybe it’s dressing up as your favorite character, or going trick-or-treating across your neighborhood. And, you can’t forget about enjoying a good movie with some popcorn such as Friday the 13th or Halloween. Either way, all of these things can lead up to the last day of the month, October 31, also known as Halloween, and I’ve got some things to keep you occupied throughout the month.

One- Host a Halloween party.

What better way to celebrate the month than to celebrate with a much-needed party? Making food such as pumpkin cookies or vampire blood punch can help elevate the mood for a spectacular costume or regular celebration.

Two- Going to Frightland or any other spooky site.

Frightland is a great idea to get a good scare, located in Middletown. Enjoying haunted hayrides, bigger-than-life attractions, and an anxiety-inducing chainsaw chase can be extra fun for teenagers looking to get out of the house and get a good chill.

Three- Watching a good movie.

Who doesn’t like watching a good movie? Watching a movie can give an even more spooky feel throughout October, with more than 100 films to choose from over several decades. Franchises such as Halloween and Saw are some of the films that are most loved by viewers, so get some popcorn and start watching!

Four- Go to some orchards.

If you don’t like getting a frightening scare or don’t like staying home, going to an orchard can be a great alternative. Picking apples and pumpkins, and enjoying classic fall treats such as apple cider donuts, and hayrides can be a great idea for kids and adults alike to enjoy a perfect October day.

Five- Go Trick or Treating.

A lot of people think that when they get to a certain age, they can’t trick or treat anymore, but not me! Dressing up as your favorite character or anything else from a piece of media can not only win you free candy but it’s also a great way to show off your costume and creativity for other kids and adults. Plus, who doesn’t like free candy?

Six- Enjoying a Haunted Hayride!

Regular hayrides are cool, but what about haunted hayrides? Hayrides can provide relaxation, but can also give a good scare for those looking for more, especially in the woods where it’s dark and someone is lurking in the shadows!

These are some of the things that I would recommend for the month of October. However, there are also other things such as staying home and being in bed, with a nice cup of pumpkin spice in hand, two things which are also great for the month of October to still give that fall feel.
