Joe Biden Signed an executive order this Monday that outlines action to be taken in precaution against rising AI technology and its dangers to America and its people. One of these precautions is that if an AI system poses a threat to national security, the economy, or public health, then the company in ownership of it will be required to submit the results of security testing and share critical information with the US government. The government is also in the process of creating a list of standards that AI systems will have to meet before being released. They will also be cracking down on deepfake content to increase the clarity of what is and isn’t real on the internet.
