Toyota has announced a recall of over 1.8 million car models ranging from the years 2013-2018. This recall sparked after concerns that a replacement battery could pose a fire risk. The replacement batteries in these cars are not the right dimensions and could shake loose during sharp turns and start a fire. Which leads to safety issues. Toyota states that they are working on a remedy that will replace the battery hold-down, battery tray, and positive terminal cover at no additional cost to owners. In December, owners will be notified about the remedy.
