    Man Killed by A Tree

    Man+Killed+by+A+Tree

A man in Yuba City, just 40 miles north of Sacramento, was killed Sunday by a large redwood tree. In the area, it was said that there were winds of up to 50 miles per hour that had caused the tree to fall. Although the man’s identity has not been revealed, the Yuba City police department states that “Through the investigation, it appeared he was possibly using a ladder to try and clear the tree away from his residence when it fell on him,” As surprising as it is, this isn’t the only death that was caused by recent weather conditions in South Carolina. Many other fatalities were reported in the area due to flooding and strong winds. The Yuba City police also stated to stay safe in the upcoming weather in South Carolina and to reach out for help when it is needed. Thank you for reading.

Hi, my name is Mia McKinnon and I'm an 11th grader at CSS. I decided to join journalism because I've always loved to read, write, and share the truth with others because I believe that people should know the full picture of everything, good or bad. I will do my best to provide that to the Conrad Howler. My pathway is Physical Therapy, and I enjoy reading about world issues and learning about how to solve them. I look forward to this year in journalism, it will give me and many others the joy and creativity to help people look through a different lens to see another side of the picture the world paints for us.
