Haiti Gangs stormed into police chief Frantz Elbe’s house and killed his dog and set his house on fire. Elbe and his family were not home at the time but the attack was video recorded and sent a message through the police ranks and to the residents of the country. The gangs coming to the police chief’s house symbolized that no one was safe. Today Haiti’s overwhelmed police force has managed to hold their own against the gangs and defend a few of the government buildings.
