On Thursday May 22, 5 Redwolves traveled to the Track and Field Meet of Champions at Abessino Stadium. The Meet of Champions offers all runners, throwers and jumpers from the State of Delaware an opportunity to showcase their respective talents in a head-to-head competition with the best of the best culled from their performances at the State Track & Field Championships.
The competition was fierce, but the girls gave their all on the track! Senior Kayla Williams was our only athlete to medal with a 3rd place finish in Shot Put with a distance of 37’ 8.” Additionally, junior Alyssa Napier finished 7th in the 200m with a time of 26.07, and 4th in the 400m with a time of 57.61. Senior Jordan Blanck finished 5th in the 800m with a time of 2:14.20, a personal best and NEW school record! Last on the track was girls 4x400m Jordan Blanck, Penny Henderson, Shalom Che, and Alyssa Napier; the girls finished 5th overall!
