In an elementary school in China, a question appeared on the student’s exam:
“If a ship had 26 sheep and 10 goats onboard, how old is the ship’s captain?”
Justifiably, the students had no idea how to answer this. The answers ranged from “at least 18 because he needs a license” to “I don’t know how to answer this question”. School officials say that this question is supposed to induce critical thinking and have students “think outside the box”. Social media, on the other hand, isn’t being as supportive of this question. They made spoof questions like:
“If a school had 26 teachers, and 10 of them weren’t thinking, how old is the principal?”
P.S The answer should be at least 28
