On Monday April 23rd, a 60 year old women was crossing U.S 13 in Dover with her service dog when she was hit by a car and killed. The women was later identified as Brenda Beckner and the driver was identified Edward Husbands from Milton. He did not stop after he hit the woman, but a witness of the crash followed him and was later arrested by Dover Police. Sadly, Beckner passed away and her dog sustained major injuries. The dog will be staying with Beckner’s roommate for the time being.
