In about two weeks, Conrad’s Spanish 4 classes will be partnering with The Pulsera Project. The Pulsera Project is a nonprofit organization that sells bracelets in order to raise money to help educate people in Central America. This organization helps provide work opportunities, medical aid, university scholarships, housing programs, and secondary education for nearly 200 people in Nicaragua and Guatemala. Most of these artisans actually make the handwoven bracelets, or “pulseras”, that we will be selling at our school lunches. Each pulsera costs about $5, and they will be sold at all lunches from March 2nd to March 13th. The pulses come in all different colors and patterns, and the money goes to a great cause. Knowing that you’re helping someone get the education or help they need, for only $5? Who could turn that down? Be on the lookout during the first two weeks of March and get your pulseras!
