Severe weather is heading for the United States, starting in California. A bomb cyclone, a rapidly increasing storm that increases in 24 hours, is heading straight for California and combined with the burn scars from the California fires, leads to disaster. Burn scars are areas of land that have ash in piles on the ground, this is dangerous because ash doesn’t dissolve in water, it floats, and that can damage our water supply. Several feet of snow is forecast to the Sierra Nevada mountains, creating impossible driving conditions. There is a flood watch, up if you are in the area, so be careful.
