Governor John Carney has signed Delaware’s balloon release ban. Balloon releases will be prohibited in all three Delmarva states. Balloons are one of the most common items that are being consumed by marine mammals and sea turtles in the U.S. The purpose of this Act is to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in the environment and to raise awareness of the need to properly dispose of balloons.
