On November 2nd, 2021, at around 3:40 a.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a collision, involving a Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver, Henry Ruggs III. In this traffic collision, Ruggs rear-ended the car of 23-year-old Tina Titner. Titner and her golden retriever were trapped in the car, as the car caught fire. Both Tina Titner and her dog were pronounced dead at the scene. Ruggs was taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. At the scene, it was said that Henry Ruggs looked to be impaired. It was found that his blood-alcohol level at the time of the crash was twice the legal limit at 0.161%, and the airbag computer records of his corvette showed that he impacted Titner’s vehicle while driving at 127 mph. There was also a loaded gun found on the floor of his vehicle. He is currently facing one count of DUI resulting in death and one count of reckless driving. If convicted he could face anywhere from 2 to 20 years in jail. His bail is currently set at 150,000 dollars. Hours after the crash, the Las Vegas Raiders cut all ties with Henry Ruggs III. Ruggs is currently serving as a lesson to all Americans to drive safely and not to drive intoxicated.
