The famous chocolate manufacturers, Mars, Nestle, and Hershey, face lawsuits for child slavery. Eight children had claimed they were used as slave labor on cocoa plantations in Ivory Coast. The children have launched legal actions at the chocolate companies, saying that thousands of children are being used as child workers. The other companies being sued are Cargill, Olam, Mondelez, and Barry Callebaut. The companies denied these claims, saying that they have zero tolerance for forced labor.
