On January 6, 2021, there was a riot at the U.S.Capitol. Former President Donald Trump has said that if he is re-elected, then he will pardon those involved in the riot. Several of the people involved in the riot have the same attorney. They are taking witness testimonies, one being former Vice President Mike Pence. The justice department has charged more than 700 people in connection with the attack on the Capitol.
