This December, Chinese classes 2-4 are working to bring the Chinese Lantern Festival to Conrad in January. Ms. Chang, the Chinese language teacher here at Conrad, is closely working with her students on providing festivities for the New Year. Students both in and out of Chinese class will get the opportunity to learn about traditions, culture, and history of the Chinese Lantern Festival along with the Chinese New Year. There will be different activities coming to all four lunches with which all the students can interact. Some include trivia, calligraphy written on your hand, and a Lion Dance performed by students. The events will span the week of January 23, so if you end up missing any activity you’ll have the chance to try it later on. We’re looking forward to seeing the festival come to Conrad!
