The school bathrooms have many uses. But recently, it has become more of a social hangout; rather than a powder room. Many people use the bathrooms as a place to hang out with their friends instead of being in classes as they should be. Theoretically, an E-hall pass should have helped contain this problem. Yet, we still have many students in the bathrooms for long periods of time who aren’t using the bathrooms. Many students use the bathrooms to make TikToks, fool around, or hang out with friends when they shouldn’t be. Also, many students take up stalls when they’re not using the bathroom to hang out with their friends, which takes away from somebody who may need to use it. This problem will probably never be fully resolved as the bathrooms are one place where many adults are reluctant to go.
