UN Warns Us in New Climate Report

UN Warns Us in New Climate Report

Today, Monday the 20th, a United Nations panel was held where scientists gave a climate report for this year. They gave a lot of concern, stating that we need to cut out two-thirds of carbon pollution by 2035 for our earth to stay healthy. The United Nations chief called for an end to new fossil fuel exploration and for rich countries to quit coal, oil, and gas by 2040. Rich countries should also accelerate their target of reaching net zero emissions by 2040. Developing countries should reach it by 2050. Also advising that carbon-free electricity be generated in the developed world by 2035. There are a lot of deadlines being placed on us that meeting could possibly save the earth. Currently, nations that are a part of the Paris Climate Agreement are going to be coming up with goals for pollution reduction by 2035.
