Hurricane Otis Now Has a Death Toll of 43 in Mexico

Hurricane+Otis+Now+Has+a+Death+Toll+of+43+in+Mexico

As of October 27, 2023, 43 people have died from injuries due to hurricane otis. The 43 people killed were 33 women and 10 men. 340 people were rescued by the Mexican government.  The deadly hurricane tore through Guerrero in southern Mexico as a level 5. Hurricane Otis’s wind speeds reached 165 mph. Not only was the hurricane fatal but it also damaged about 220,035 homes and 80% of the hotels in the area in the process. The strong winds and heavy flood has left the known tourist attraction in ruins.
