On a Monday near the end of 2023, a woman was killed in the Bahamas by a shark. A 44 year old American woman, who’s name has not been told, traveled to the resort with a male relative. Both were attacked by a shark while paddle boarding. The woman died from those injuries shortly after 11 a.m. local time. While shark attacks aren’t common by any means, they can still happen because the shark most likely mistook the victim as something it usually eats.
